Safety, Liability & Participant Waiver

Risks can include being struck by paintballs, bruising or welts, slips, trips and falls, uneven or wet surfaces, collisions with people or field structures, equipment-related injury, physical exertion, heat, cold, dehydration, eye or face injury if protective equipment is removed or misused, and aggravation of a pre-existing condition. Serious injury, although uncommon, is possible.

Participants must wear the required approved face/eye protection in all live-fire areas, keep safety devices in place when instructed, never intentionally shoot prohibited targets or at prohibited distances, never remove or tamper with venue safety equipment, follow referee/staff directions immediately and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment before continuing play.

You are responsible for deciding whether you are reasonably fit to participate. Do not play while intoxicated or materially impaired. If you have a medical condition, recent injury, pregnancy or other concern that could make participation unsafe, obtain appropriate medical advice before participating and inform staff of any reasonable accommodation or immediate safety issue relevant to the session.

Participants under 18 require the consent of a parent or lawful guardian where required by applicable law or venue rules. Headshot may require the parent/guardian to complete a separate consent or waiver and may apply additional age, supervision or equipment restrictions.

By voluntarily participating after receiving the safety briefing, you acknowledge the inherent risks of paintball and accept the ordinary risks that remain despite reasonable safety measures. This acknowledgement does not waive any right or liability that cannot lawfully be waived.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Headshot is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from ordinary recreational participation, customer delay, failure to follow safety rules, misuse of equipment or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in this waiver excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or any death, personal injury, consumer remedy or other liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Headshot against third-party claims and reasonable losses caused by your intentional misconduct, unlawful acts, deliberate safety-rule violations, intentional property damage or unauthorised misuse of Headshot equipment. This does not shift to you liability that the law requires Headshot itself to bear.

Headshot may immediately stop a game, remove a participant from play, refuse unsafe equipment or end a session where staff reasonably believe continued participation creates an unacceptable safety risk. A safety removal caused by the participant's misconduct does not automatically create a right to refund.
